Hi everyone. I'm not exactly sure why I'm doing this, I guess just because it's something different. I live in Boston, in a little studio apartment with a slanted ceiling and VERY crooked floors (I finally smartened up and bought a TV stand that wasn't on wheels). I grew up in Chicago's northern suburbs and I miss it there very much. Until recently, I was bartending at a very busy restaurant/brewery near Fenway Park but then one day about a month ago, I stopped going. Ever seen Officespace? "So, you're going to quit?" "No, I'm just not going to go anymore." Yeah, that was me. I worked there for two years, never missed a shift, was never late...and then one day I didn't go. And it was terrifying, but in a strange way, liberating. I stood on a bridge overlooking the Charles River and stared towards the Citgo sign that decorates the Fenway/Kennmore area and decided that I was stuck. And that I needed to get unstuck. And a month and change later, I haven't unstuck myself yet. See? This is why I was reluctant to start a livejournal. Because I ramble. And nobody cares.
Anyway, I am building myself up from the ground. I've realized that I have precious few real friends, especially in this city. I am now unemployed, sending out resume's frantically (I also just recently graduated college-go me) and faking smiles and credentials alike on job interviews. Help!
